Up for sale, we have a very beautiful 1969 Twist and Turn, "Flip" style barbie. This doll is display worthy but she is NOT mint and should not be considered for the mint collector. The doll has some issues. All photos are below this text.
One of her flaws is that she is missing the lashes on her left eye. These could be rerooted. She also has hair in the very front which looks like it was either trimmed, or perhaps broken off. It blends well as you can see in the photos and is not a serious problem. She has one plug missing above the right ear, but you cannot see it without lifting her hair up. Her flip is still very good, as the picture shows. Her eyebrows are perfect, her blush is strong and pink, her lips are bright pink, but have a little paint rubbed on the lower lip. Eye make up and color is great. With a rerooted set of lashes on the left eye, she really will have a near perfect face. She has no neck splits, no pin pricks in ears and no green ear.
The body has lots of issues but is very clean overall. Her right arm has "flesh" carved out of it but can easily be hidden by posing her with the arm back or by her wearing long sleeves. Arm could also be replaced if you have a good one. It is slightly "swingy" but not really. No nail polish is present. She has all fingers and toes. No unusual markings and no ink marks. No dents in chest. Right leg clicks and holds three times, but left leg knee is broken inside and doesn't bend but is closed and the rubber is not ripped, so she could still wear a bathingsuit or short skirt. She can still sit with feet crossed very nicely. Both legs are attached at hip joint, but right leg is sort of loose and not tightly flush against body. She can still be posed on a variety of stands, though I am not sure about a MOD T stand.
Over all the doll is clean and very display worthy. She has no odors. Hair was washed and is shiny and nicely holding flip. Hair smells like the doll, not shampoo because very mild, gentle soap was used and she's been stored with other Barbie's for a while. No strong or perfume smells at all.
She can come to you wearing "Two Way Tiger" if you would like, but if you don't want the outfit, she can come nude. The outfit is in very good condition. The pants are about perfect and the top would be, too, except that the straps were stitched back on.
