This is Special Expressions Barbie from 1989. She was a Woolworth store exclusive. This is the African American/Black version. She was aquired in a lot of other dolls which probably all came from different places. This one was obviously a display doll at one time. Her hair was dusty and her outfit was a bit dusty. She had a musty smell like from storage in a basement or attic.
But Fear not! She will come to you with clean, fresh smelling hair which I washed and conditioned myself. Her dress was handwashed and is absolutely clean and new looking! She has her original shoes and is in overall excellent condition. Her hair is soft, fluffy and wavy. The musty smell is very, very faint now and I've had her airing for a long time in my allergy friendly, smoke free home. This is a nice doll to display or play with. She's very pretty. If I didn't already have hundreds of dolls who are in boxes waiting to be displayed, I'd have kept her. And with Woolworth stores all gone, she is really special!(please note that the doll stand is NOT included).
If you would like more pictures of this doll, just ask. I originally listed her on Yahoo auctions before they closed up and I only listed her with this one picture.

Asking price for doll in original shoes and dress, without stand or box or comb $20 but will consider a reasonable offer. Contact me.
